Lon’s at the Hermosa Is the Pinnacle of Southwest Fancy

9.5 Yumpoints | Tied for #16 in Phoenix

Lon’s isn’t trendy, it’s not modern, and it’s not ridiculously fancy (let’s call it rustic fancy). What it is is pretty. It’s the kind of place you’d have a wedding reception at. A place to propose. A place to take your mom to for Mother’s Day. Don’t confuse all this with boring though. Sure, the dinner menu isn’t as exciting as some of the more youthful places in town (it’s sure yummy though), but the cocktails are consistently A+. In fact, if you’re ever in the area, you should stop by the bar (called the Last Drop) and have a drink on the patio. There’s nothing more AZ vacation than that.

Phoenix New Times: The Top 100 Restaurants

This is the best and one of the lesser known upscale gem’s in all of Arizona. Living here 10+ years and I don’t know many people who know about it. The setting is absolutely stunning as you can see with beautiful grounds.
