The 23 Best Places to Eat (and Drink) In Scottsdale

The Scottsdale Waterfront.

Where: Scottsdale and the areas that are spiritually Scottsdale, including Arcadia and anything in Phoenix and Paradise Valley east of Tatum/44th St.

When people go on vacation to Phoenix, they’re not going to downtown or Midtown or really anywhere but Scottsdale. Like it or not, Scottsdale just has all the stuff you want when you just want to forget about real life: fancy resorts, fancy shopping, golf courses, hiking trails, spas—all your bases are covered. From a food standpoint, that means big dollars, not only from tourists, but also from the people who can afford to live like that year-round. And big dollars equals fancy. Sometimes fancy schmancy (which is significantly more fancy than regular fancy). The valley as a whole has come a long way over the past decade in the fancy food department, but Scottsdale’s still the place to be if you’re looking for a nice place to valet your Ferrari.
